Disneywarts

This is the first piece of all digital art I have done. I wanted something with contrived shadows and simple color work for me to start on, hence the rather cliché Disney/Harry Potter. It is not perfect, but as it was a learning piece my patience ran out, especially on the linework which I never leave exposed in my normal style. Because of this, I did not depict a particular scene. The only explanation for how this motley group of students ended up together in the Room of Requirement I can think of is as a photo for a list club a la "The List" episode 1114 of South Park.

From left to right, top to bottom, they are: Katie Bell (Jane), Hannah Abbott (Cinderella), Cho Chang (Mulan), Angelina Johnson (Tiana), Luna Lovegood (Giselle), Ginny Weasley (Ariel), Lavender Brown (Lottie), Alicia Spinnet (Nani), Romilda Vane (Esmeralda), Pansy Parkinson (Vanessa, Ursula’s human form), Parvati Patil (Jasmine), Hermione Granger (Belle) and Padma Patil (Pocahontas).

I tried to choose on a combination of personality and looks. This is why Lottie is there even though there are plenty of blond main females. Eilonwy would have worked for Luna in personality and she does have long blond hair, but I can’t stand her and Giselle is equally nutty and I adore her. I know the Patil twins are identical, but I made them fraternal as they are in the movies so I did not have to draw the same one twice.
